Two Years.

On April 26th, 2013 was the best day of my life. I've mentioned this before, but I want to again because it is April 26th, which means one thing.. today is mine and James 2 year anniversary! I'm so glad that we decided to get married. He is my best friend and I can't believe how much I love him and I continue to love him more and more each day.

Two years with this guy isn't nearly enough, I'm so glad that I get to spend eternity with him! Like I said, April 26th was the BEST day ever!

He is my best friend, and of course the best husband in the world. I am so thankful for him and everything he does for me. I can't wait for the many more adventures we are going to have and the many more memories that we are going to make with each other! Thanks Mr. for the best two years of my life yet!! I love you.

The Start Of Another Project!

So I don't know if you have seen this "in" thing this year which is Fairy Gardens. I have seen them everywhere.. all the fun things and a lot of pictures of peoples gardens. So I had the smart idea that I wanted one too and how hard could it be?! Right? And I was already a step ahead because I already had two fairies, well technically I have three but I'm not sure yet if I'm going to use the third. HA! Anyways, enough gabbing let's get onto the fun part the show and tell!

So for my garden I wanted to try my best to not spend a ton of money on it, which I have nothing against but I wanted to challenge myself and see how much I could make. The day I decided this James and I went for a walk around town so I could find items for my fairy garden. I picked up sticks, rocks, pine cones and this awesome tree root/stump thing. But, because of where I live I didn't have any moss.. so I ventured to the dollar store to buy moss rocks and a bag of moss. I've spent so far a grand total of $2.00 for my fairy garden at this point. (My not spending money plan.. isn't working out so well ha ha!)

*BACK STORY!* So, for my fairies house I was going to build one out of Popsicle sticks but, I got way to frustrated with that and trying to figure out how to look good.. so I went with my nest best idea which I ended up like a million times better! I just made a door instead with my Popsicle sticks and leaned it against the tree stump thing. I think it made my garden look more like where a fairy would live. Another back story.. before I started like I said I already had the fairies but I also had the pot and what I made the pond out of... and I had the soil! But my garden is still missing some things. I would really like a bench, something to put in my bond and then just something for the right side of my garden where there is a lot of blank space. So I am currently open for ideas! And there you have it, the start of my fairy garden! Yippee!!

James and I were so blessed to be able to spend Easter Sunday with our families down in Utah this year. Although, it was a very short visit! It was a lot of fun and I was so excited to see everyone especially the nieces and nephew! (Hadn't seen them in a little while.)

The Easter Bunny (AKA JAMES) got me this beautiful antique collectible because he knew how much I loved it. And also I collect them! They are some of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen. I'm so thankful for this! She is gorgeous. Oh and a plus.. she is my birthday month doll! James found that out as he was checking out I guess! Pretty nifty. No wonder why I loved her so much.. ha ha!

My mom every year does an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos and for the adults. So of course she made us all model for a wonderful picture. (Thanks mom for letting me steal this!) I love my family so much!

Easter was a total blast. It was good to be able to visit with everyone and play with the nieces and nephew. I love being able to spend holidays with the family. It makes them that much more special.

My Testimony On Families

Today while watching the first session of the LDS General Conference, Elder L. Tom Perry spoke on families. It really was a touching talk to me and gave me a feeling like I need to share my views on what family means to me. All I ask in return by me doing so is that I get respect for my feelings and my testimony on what family means to me. Bear with me, as this is going to be very personal and emotional. So I apologize in advance if it doesn't make sense... as I am already starting to cry as I think of what I want to share with you all.

On March 10th a few years ago I got one of the biggest blessings of my life. My mother and father made the choice to get sealed. By their choice of being sealed and helping us to be a family for forever past this life it blessed my life. On that day was the day that I had made my decision that I wanted that happiness always. I knew from that moment that all I wanted was to be married and sealed to my eternal companion in the temple. Also on that day some special sacred things happened to me. I don't share them with many people because it is so special to me. But I can say that I know that Jesus loves me, he lives and he is always there. I am so grateful to my parents and their choice to not only be sealed to each other but to be sealed to us. I'm so grateful that I get to be their daughter forever and to always have their love. I'm grateful that they are my eternal family and I am so thankful that my parents decided to marry each other and show me what true love and marriage is. I love my family so much and I am thankful to them. They are one of the best blessings ever.

On April 26th 2013, I made the best decision of my life. I was sealed to my best friend and eternal companion. My husband James. On that day we started a new family and had brought two families together. I had never felt so much happiness other than when I was sealed to my family. But this time the happiness was different. I was at peace, and I was proud of myself. I once again felt the love I had back on March 10th. I knew that by my choice of marriage, and the place that I got married that I was doing what was right. Every time I look back and think about that day I still feel the happiness and I know that I will always have that happiness because of the choice that my husband and I made. I am so glad that we made such a sacred and special commitment to each other. And I can't wait to start growing our eternal family.

So, now I want to take a chance to explain what the word family means to me. I know that family is very important. My family means the world to me. My immediate family, my extended family and the family I married into. Each and every one of them have touched my life so much, they all have helped me to be me. I do NOT take the word family lightly. Family is something very sacred and special that we all have been blessed with. I know that families can be together again, and that everyone can have the happiness of ever lasting life and love. I believe that family is one of the most important things we can have in life. Family is far greater than your dream job, taking a trip, your friends (although they are important too) and having the best things. Families are always there for you, thick and thin. Without a family none of us would be here.

I am so grateful for my parents choice to be married and sealed in the temple. I am also so grateful for mine and my husbands choice to do the same. I have never experienced so much happiness. And I wouldn't trade anything in the world. I love being married to my husband, he means the entire world to me. And I cannot wait to grow our family eventually and to become a mother and to watch him become a wonderful father. I love my family, and I love my marriage. I do believe that families can be together forever. I believe in marriage and families. And once again I bear my testimony that families are so special and sacred and one of the most amazing blessings that we all have been given.

I'm so blessed.

My Grandma gave me this beautiful antique planter. I love it a lot. It sits in the middle of my kitchen table and holds my other love.. blow pops ha ha. I thought about putting a fake plant in it but I needed something to store all my suckers and this worked perfectly.

This plates is also an antique. It belonged to James great grandmother. I haven't found it a safe spot yet.. but I am hoping to soon. I love the saying but I love mostly the connection it gives me to his great grandparents. I'm very thankful that James aunt gave this wonderful plate to us.

My best friend Sabrina sent me a package that I got on Monday! It is my Christmas/birthday/care package. She's such a doll. She gave me so much.. and I am so thankful for it. Also she knows me so well. But hey that's what good friends do. ha ha! Thanks again Sabrina! You're the best.
